GSR/ITR crank. That's it.

Well, unless you had custom pistons made the piston to deck height would be "incorrect" and thus it would yield a different compression ratio. Remember, the LS block is slightly taller then the GSR block. Something to keep in mind.

It is? I was told they were the same height. Maybe someone gave me the wrong info.

I was told this same thing, in for more info on this. I was always told as long as you used the appropriate crank/rod/piston the B18C1/B18C5/B18B were interchangeable blocks...

All B series should have the same 270mm block height with the exception of the B16A & the long stroke Dart blocks, IIRC.

www.zealautowerks.com

I know he has actually measured the blocks also...

You want to use the main caps from the block you are using. You do not want to use the GSR main caps. If you went with the GSR girdle, you would need to have the main bores align honed to make sure they are round and properly aligned (duh!), since the additional clamping and slight movement from bolting the girdle on could lead to the bores not being round or properly aligned anymore.

That is incorrect.. The blocks are the same height with the exception of the b16. If this was true sleeving companies would make an LS specific sleeve.

Then put an LS crank, LS rods, and LS pistons in a GSR block. Do the pistons come out of the hole? What is the piston to deck height measurement you get?
