tuning, or fuel, most cases is fuel. thats when race gas comes in to save the day

I have no idea how to answer this... My built D is ready to find out if I can throw 20psi at it on my t3, so I'll let you know how that goes. With vitara's giving about an 8:1 compression ratio I think it should be very attainable.

Just want to add that it surprisingly feels very stocklike off boost with the vitaras. It's been a while, but seriously, no driveability seems to have been lost.

On the alcohol injection subject... I'm pretty sure I read somewhere you can use generic windshield washer fluid... It's mostly just alcohol and water...

Fuel as in not enough octane to prevent knock.

Good thread. It has to do with displacement, combustion chamber design, intake air temperatures, spark plug, compression ratio, and obviously octane.

Its hard to tell what makes how much of a difference, but i'd say at 9:1CR most people make over 400whp before detonation.

Ndogg made like 509whp on pump gas. with a very low CR (i think 7.2:1).

It's very difficult to answer this question, as there are so many variables that control the HP level of a car. This is why no two setups are alike. I don't know what they are, but I'm sure there are some hideous diffy-q's that you can work through to figure out what the max power you can get out of pump gas for an enormous list of variables that are held at desired constants.
