I use the $$$ oil changes from friend's racecars in my beater. One or two track events and they think the stuff has to be thrown away... please.

typically you want something that has a slightly bit better viscosity (not too thick) to help with increased heat and cylinder pressures that are created by turbochargers. With that said, most use 10w30 or 10w40. Racing oils should only be used for racing, not for "dual duty" as ironically, daily driving goes through more abuse in stop-go traffic than racing, so you want to use something practical.
You may have to try out a few viscosities and create your own study to check out what weights work best with you.

Factory calls for 10W30, IIRC. I would not go thinner as you will take a hit in oil pressure, especially when the oil thins out with the added oil temps of a turbo setup. Is it a significant change in pressure? I doubt it.
S2000 is made to a higher tolerance than say a Mk3 Supra which was designed for 20W50 from the factory and has a horrible oiling system along with a number of other large design flaws - most of those Supras have the wrong weight oil run through them for a decade or more before it comes home. If that's any yardstick then I really don't think you'll hurt your engine trying to run it on old axle grease.
