What kind of engine managent system will work fine with OBD0?
Hi,
I have a full modded civic coupe with b16a1 engine OBD0. But I don't know what ems is good for an OBD0 engine because lots of systems are for OBD1-OBD2.
I know AEM EMS is very good but that is to expensive for me as an student.
Does anybody has any experience with greddy emanage ultimate, because that sounds like a nice system for not to much money?
The tuning-factory (shop in the Netherlands) will adjust my original ecu and will modify the ecu for data logging and then change the fuel and ignition maps. Is this also good or is a EMS like emanage ultimate better.
The car will be tuned on the dyno

It sounds like maybe that tuning-factory place has something that is similar to Turboedit. Turboedit is freeware tuning software you can download from http://www.pgmfi.org and it will allow you to do your own fuel and timing changes and save them to a chip that you plug into your ECU. Basically it is a fancy hex editor with a interface that is easy to read. Lots of places have come up with their own software to do the same thing. See if the tuning-factory can give you more information about the software they use to change fuel and timing. Maybe they can show it to you so you can see how they actually do it.

if you have a PR3 or PWO, u might want to look into BRE...
its a FREE ROM editor for those ECU
check http://www.pgmfi.org
if other OBDO ecu,s then u want to look into TurboEdit wich is also on that site

Or is it better to do a wiring conversion to OBD1? Or is a program as turboedit as good as hondata or something?
I was tuned obd0 on turboedit. 12lbs pounds of boost and th afr's were great. At time it was a little choppy but still it worked. I would recomend converting to obd1 but if not just turboedit takes a lot more time to get it right cause it dosent have any special options to help you along the way. Happy Boosting
