use a meter to check for resistance on the injector coil. low impendence- 2-4 Ohms (u need a resistor box)
high impendence 12-15 Ohms (no resistor box) this way you can know for sure.

Saturated injectors don't need one and peak/hold injectors do!!!! usually when you buy the injectors they specify weather or not they are saturated or peak/hold.

Saturated injectors have a "built in" resistance of around 12-16 OHM. Peak and hold injectors only have a resistance of around 2-4 OHM. So with P&H injectors you need resistors or a resistor box to raise the resistance.
Also here's something I posted a long time ago about P&H vs Saturated

Re: what injectors need a resistor box (BlueShadow)
thanks alot.. I am going turbo and wanna buy injectors now cause someone is selling some for 200 and they are 780cc'c... That might be enough but it has no resistor box.. I think it might be enough for up to 450 hp.... is this a good deal of should I get the 1000cc's from rc on ebay for 316??????????????

How much boost do you think you'll be running to get 450 HP? According to my calculations 780's would be good for about 420-450 HP at 85% duty cycle, but this is NA. You may be able to get more power out of the injectors, depending on how much boost you run.

Re: what injectors need a resistor box (BlueShadow)
ok here are my intentions..... I want to go b20.. so I am buyin the motor by the end of the month cause I am shopping around for deals..... now when I get it I wanna have it runinn and get it passed inspection on my p75 ecu.... once thats accomplished I want to go boost... my first question is 1) should I buy a block gaurd or get it sleeved???????? once I bolt the turbo on I want to up the limit to about 8700... I want to put a skunk2 manifold on it (please give your opinions on the manifold) and I want to put on the injectors??? those are the first mods I want to do..... the turbo will be a t3/t04 turbo with more than likely a love fad manifold for like 550 or something.... (please give your opinions on the type of manifold you think would be better)

Aside from a custom manifold the JG Edelbrock Victor-X seems to be the best. People say there are lots of gains in the upper RPM ranges, but you'll loose a little lower RPM range performance.
BTW check out this thread that I just created. Your question about how much HP the 780cc's kinda got me thinking about some things.

Re: what injectors need a resistor box (itr206)
I figured better safe than sorry.. so when I put these injectors on a stock car it wont be supplying all 1000cc's until I turn up the fuel right????????
