What Ignition system and components for B18B on 20 psi?
I have a built B18A block and B18B head. I will be boosting it 20 psi. What is the best aftermarket ignition system to get or do I need one? I'm pretty sure I will, but I don't know that much about the ignition system. I was thinking I'd probably go with MSD stuff, but can anyone tell me what all parts I would need for the best spark for that much boost? Thanks.

I havent had very much hand on experience with this but have spoken and read quite a bit from some of the tuners on this board. Most will tell you that you are better off running a bone stock ignition setup over the MSD stuff. Granted that your factory setup is in good condition.
Id say run your stock components and if you have ignition related problems look into something like M&W Ignition setup sold by Arturbo or Tony1 on this board.

I know from threads on this board that many 400-600 whp cars have been tuned on stock igntion. Read up

Try the stock ignition and see what happens, lots of people run that successfully.
The "best" is (IMHO):

But that stuff will cost you many thousands of dollars.
Run what you got. If it misfires, then upgrade as needed.

Ok thanks guys. I guess I'll just stick with stock. Right now I don't have anything, I got the motor out of a parts car. Can anyone list all the parts to the ignition that I will need to get?
