my plans are for: boost, oil press, fuel pressure in pillar pod and then oil temp, EGT in the center console

Autometer ultralites- Tach, boost pressure, oil and water temps, FJO display.
All electronic except for the boost pressure.

whats ect and eop?
wouldnt you guys rather have oil pressure than oil temp? if you spring a leak your oil pressure immediately drops. your temp may not change much.. at least not until youre bone dry heh. both is good too, but id rather not have extra clutter. at least with water temps you know its supposed to be around 185F, and thats pretty much what every car uses.

yeah, my AEM EMS is a boost controller, i am not about to spend $400 just to monitor boost

autometer boost and egt, i wouldnt put the probe in the mani again tho cause it runs out of scale on the gauge, pretty much any gauges are ok, once your tuned you get a bench mark from the gauges you got, theres no gauge like a wideband

Re: (LJR-LUDE01)
I've got rid of most of mine. I have wideband and J&S monitor left. I have the AVC-R if I want to check to make sure boost is going where I want it, but it's in the glovebox.
The police are really tight around here, so I got rid of my a-pillar pod and my Defi HUD gauge.

ECT = engine coolant temp
EOP = engine oil pressure
EOT = engine oil temp
If you spend too much time diagnosing engines and you will find yourself using more and more shortcut terms for sensors. Sorry for the confusion.

it's when you have none and something goes wrong when you say "damn, i shoulda had a guage for that"

Too many gauges is just a nuisance. Your not watching them. The likelyhood of catching something like an oil pressure drop before it's a real problem is low.
