Default What gauges should I have

I have oil pressure, Water temp, fuel

I was thinking after the turbo installation I might want a few more.
1) Oil tmp
2) Boost gauge
3) water temp
4) Oil pressure
5) EGT... make any sense.
6) Volt meter

Any gauges that make sense? Turbo times? waste of money?

All those gauges you have are not needed except for oil pressure (which you listed twice). You SHOULD have had at minimum a boost gauge, oil pressure gauge and a real wideband.

If you run proper oil the temperature will never be a problem... A wideband to monitor the air/fuel is much, muCH, MUCH more important.

The minimum will always be Wideband O2, Boost (vacuum combo is nice), and Oil Pressure. Depending on your setup you can display them how you please, i.e. TunerView... For my gauges I only have a Wideband and EGT - all the rest are displayed through the TunerView.

I can see where you think that I have two pressure gauges. I was showing what I have compared to what I thought I may need.

OK, here's where I show my real ignorance...what are we talking about when you say wideband? I thought about trying to do away with all of them, tach and speedo as well and go with a single display such as made by Stack. Wow that would be cool....I'm not sure besides stack might make and all in one gauge panel. I suspect it could be a epic battle hooking it all to a Nondaa S300 computer.

You'll have to forgive me for being gauge crazy. I'm a pilot, although not current for some time. My older brother is a retired Naval Aviator (only the Air Force has pilots) taught me to fly and one habit te beat into me was no1 "situational awareness always being aware of what exactly is going on and no2 Knowing what your airplane thinks is going on. It was always a bit shocking how often they disagreed.

Thank once again to all of you that took time to read and answer. I always learn something.

I agree with everyone, oil pressure, boost, afr/real wideband. I have the innovative mtx-l (wideband and gauge combo) I got mine from John at phearable.net

I like the NGK wideband. Its simple, but very effective and reliable.

wideband and boost gauge are essential for tuning and reference, oil pressure gauge is something people use for peace of mind. fact of the matter is, you either have oil pressure...or your ****ed. Theres no inbetween. Stay away from innovate products for widebands. PLX or NGK are the way to go.

I have personally had 2 Innovate and 2 PLX's Wideband fail on me (no, not the sensors either). Even though they are slow, there has never been problems with AEM products. The NGKs are good as well.
