Guages I was going to get were boost and oil pressure.
Should I get a third guage? If so, what guage and why?

I have Auto Meter, Boost, Oil pressure, and GReddy EGT

 

Just get a Greddy Electrical Boost Gauge, that's all you'll need.

and greddy gauges are overpriced go with a autometer comp ultra lite.

 

Can anyone point me to links for EGT (exhaust gas temp) gauge install. I have no idea what this gauge is and how to understand the readings on it. I understand boost gauge and oil pressure gauge.

I dont think I need one for a daily driver with a conservative custom turbo setup, but who knows

 

honestly, boost and oil pressure are the most important. and if you can afford it, a wideband o2 setup. with EGTs, there are too many variables to tell you your state of tune, ie (high egts can mean just timing too retarded, or lean, and cool could mean rich or too much timing).

 

so boost and oil pressure are good..

 

at the very least get boost and egt.

DO NOT get the Autometer egt. It works great in my NA car, but doesn't register high enough in FI applications.

yeah, the guages i am getting are all defi.

i run boost/oil pressure/narrowband a/f... and thinking of getting oil temp..

 

How bout Fuel Pressure guys!?

Do you really need a fuel pressure guage when running hondata,AFC hack, or any other kind of electronic based engine management? I figured i would only need a fuel pressure guage when running an FMU or something.
