What do you think is the best tire for dry traction on a high HP, front wheel drive car that is used for daily commute? Some say Azenis and some say Parada Spec-2. The saleman at my local tire shop recommends BFG Traction--I don't know about that. No DRs plz.

are we talking drag race sticky or auto-x sticky??? I would assume drag since you asked about the DR's...The Azenis are a hell of a tire, but the side walls are very stiff and can cause wheel hop off the line. 60 ft times with Azenis usually aren't much if at all better than normal tires. My fastest 60 ft was a 2.15 on shitty kumho 711's...believe or not. I average 2.20's and 2.30's with the Azenis because of the wheel hop.

I said no DRs but how practical is putting on a set of DRs for regular street use? Once it rains or snows I'd mind as well get on my R6, no?

Auto-x sticky. My ITR will prolly never see the drag strip.
I'd think this tire topic would be a hot one but weird that it's not. A search confirms that tire brands are not discussed much... Any input will be appreciated guys... Need new tires soon, along with new wheels.

The *vast* majority of competitors in STS and STX (street tire) autox classes all use Azenis. They're cheap, have excellent turn-in, don't need a lot of heat to grip well (in fact they're crap when they get hot), and they grip nearly as well as some of the "harder" race tires out there. They also run a little fat. The 205/50/15 is quite a bit wider than other tires I've seen of the same size.
