To make a custom turbo kit you will need the following:
Turbo
Downpipe
Turbo Manifold
Oil return Line
Oil Feed Line
Intercooler
Intercooler Piping
A filter for your turbo or not
Fuel system, such as an Fmu, Inline pump or Intank pump, Vafc Hack
Wastgate
A dumptube Internal or External
Blow Off Valve
Missing link, not applicable with Vafc Hack
Colder Sparkplugs
Having your cat-back exhaust modified or You need to buy a bigger exhaust system.
Gauges
Some kind of fuel controll
Boost controller or you could just let your wastgate take care of that with its spring
And than a lot of little nick nacks that you might want or not really need
If you want a built motor you could throw that in too..
Hitting the search button
Lots of reading on this forum Day and through the night.
Any of the questions you may have, have more than likely already been answered so please do a search before you make a topic, we have all been in your shoes and we are just trying to be fair about this..
But anyways the most important thing your going to need is MONEY and lots of it..

Buy :
1) turbo
2) intercooler
3) bov (Get Tial)
4) Wastegate (Get Tial)
5) Exhaust Manifold
6) If you have money left over get Hondata. (Fuel Management)
Let the shop take care of the piping, and other misc items. Make sure you take it too a good shop that can cut and weld piping. Make sure they dont give you mig welds.
I hope I didn't forget anything.

whats wrong with mig welds? I can see not wanting arc welds cuz of the pits, but mig and tig are pretty muc hthe same thing...
Tig welds are not surface welds therefore will last longer then mig welds. Whoever told you that mig and tig are the same, obviously doesn't know the difference.

Have you ever seen mig compared to tig? I wouldn't have anything mig welded on my car if you paid me. It's just plain ugly compared to tig...

must be nice to have a tig welder to use whenever. I myself only have access to a mig welder and it does just fine for me. If I was going to build a roll cage that would be a different story but if we're only talking intercooler piping you can grind the welds down and paint the pipes. I can't imagine trying to tig weld a quarter panel on a car, nor have I ever seen or heard of it being done.
I'm not trying to say that mig is better than tig but I have welded quite a few major structural components on a lot of cars that were wrecked and haven't had any come back.
Maybe I'm just jealous cause I can't afford a tig welder and my shop won't buy one. It would be kinda pointless since I'm the only one who would learn to use it and I'm at school most of the year.

a mig weld can penetrate just as well as any other weld. all you gotta do is crank up the power. i've welded cars together that ended up in accidents again, and it didn't break anywhere near the repair. its all in how good a welder you are, which simply takes practice.
