what engine oil to use?
What were your changing intervals? turbo? not matter what oil i run in my car when i drop the pan or pull the valve cover it all looks clean and brand new. maybe from larger ring gaps the fuel getting into the oil is keeping things clean who knows but my motor is spotless LOL
so after some searching and the info's on here, im deciding to go with the Rotella T6 in 5w40 for now cause it's starting to cool off here.
it's got good reviews on just about any website i look on, hondas, chevys, honda bikes, dsm, mazadas ect ect all use this **** with good results.... my only questions left are, "does all walmart carry this?" if I can't find it in my local walmart, where else besides online can I find it? I want to use something that is convient for me to get and dont have to go through the hassle of trying to look for it when i need it.

just got back from the local walmart, they are about 6-7 dollars a quart on the Rotella T6 synthetic 5w40, this calculates into about 28-30 bucks for 4 quarts which is about double the price of the valvoline i use. I didn't see the one gallon jars of the T6 5w40 to see how much it was, but there is the rotella T5 in sae 10w30 and the Rotella T triple protection sae 15w40 both are about 3-4 dollars a quart, can i use the T5 10w30 or the T triple protection 15w40 in my engine or should rather stick with the T6 5w40 synthetic?
there is a reason the T6 is good, stick with the T6, 15w40 is much too thick anyway. lol 6-7 dollars a quart is an excellent price, not sure why your walmart is higher but my brother just bought T6 the other day, 4 quarts for 21.38. I pay 8.90 a quart for royal purple synthetic.
Im sorry for my previous statement. i run T5 10w30 in my GSR. its good stuff and its a synthetic blend hence the lower price per quart. It holds up very well my motor doesnt burn a drop
