What to do before I turbo my civic?
Be easy on me guys, this is my first post. I'm on the process of putting a turbo in my 96 civic with 200k...Ya 200k X( what do I need to get and do to prep this car for a turbo? I just installed arp head studs, and put entirely new gaskets on my head. Nothing crazy performance wise on my car. Just your usual intake, spark plugs, wires, full exhaust, clutch, flywheel. Car has been kept in pretty good condition it was kept in the family so I know who drove it. I don't want to run any higher than 5psi (it's my daily driver) Help me out guys! What do I need so my engine doesn't explode.

Go look at some builds in the Forced Induction section, or google some turbo civic builds. By the way, PSI isn't going to blow your engine, the cfm from the turbo will dictate that.
Try to find a build that is very close to what you're aiming for, and learn how that person puts it together.

Step 1: Read.
Step 2: Learn.
Literally all of the information you want is right where it belongs - in the FAQ stickies. We really do not like repeating ourselves. Please put in the effort to read before diving for the post button. While you're doing that, forget about PSI. It doesn't mean dick. Figure out your power goals, and work to that. It might take you 4 PSI, it might take you 7, but it doesn't matter.

And consider this your warning. We usually aren't nice to those who don't put in any effort around here.
