The M62 pushes alot more air. That is the one you want probably.

I work for Eaton, and, the difference is simple. We make 4 different models of superchargers. It depends on how strong of a motor you have. We make supercharger for Mercedes Benz cars, and since there cars have much much larger than our 4 banger cars, they require the larger supercharger. The M62 Eaton supercharger is for motors that are 2.0-2.5 liters, OR, motors that can withstand the extra power. The B18C GSR motor is obviously a 1.8, but, its strong enough to use the M62 Charger.
I hope this helps.

But, he has the B18B. The M62 won't fit without modifications, and those that have made the changes didn't see that drastic of an improvement. The M45 is what was intended for the B18b.

But, again, you must understand that the B18B doesn't put out as much power as the B18C, therefore, it might not be able to withstand the M62. Each supercharger is specifically designed to work on specific motors.

Yes, I understand the B18B and B18C heads are designed differently. But, when we build these, we don't build them to fit Jackson Racing needs. We build superchargers mainly for Mercedes, Jaguar, etc. etc. Jackson Racing comes to us, and, asks to purchase our design. Whatever Jackson does after that, is there decision. We only supply the Supercharger. We do not give them the 6lb pulley, or anything else that requires a modification to fit it onto a Honda motor.

So, my advice to you is to talk to Jackson Racing regarding which one is best for the B18B. Only they would know that answer for you. Eaton only builds them, and then they sell them to Jackson, and then Jackson slaps on their name to it. Jackson is just a small client of ours, compared to the large Car companies around the world.

Hey 420TegLSm, did you know that the 99-00 Civic (1.6 DOHC VTEC) JRSC kit also has the M62 Eaton charger? All the JRSC kits for VTEC, B series, engine have the M62 Eaton charger.

All the DOHC VTEC JR kits utilize the M62 blower. I think this is necessary due to the higher redline of the engine. Can you imagine spinning an M45 to 8200rpm? I wonder if JR utilizes the larger blower to help compensate for the blow thru when VTEC activates? Any comments?
