Default what CR for a boosted street car?

what would be the most optimal CR to use for street? the most i would boost is 12-14lbs. I just dont want the car to feel slugish when driving it at low rpm.. is it posible to stay with 10.1 cr? it has to be something closer to 9.5.1?
Please shed some light.. thanks!

nah...i think 9:1 would be fine for 12psi or so...not as high as gsr compression a lil slower in the lower rpms but when boosting it would be safer.

9-1 seems to be the common compression from what I have seen. (I'm running 10psi now.. soon to be uppped to 12-14)

I have 9-1 pistons and the car isn't dog slow off the line or driving normally.. sometimes it feels that way, but my car is retarted a few degrees on the distributor, which does cause a little slugishness, but not that noticable..

i found this in a magazine..by the looks of it 9.0:1 and 9.5:1 are your best bet and maybe higher with real good fuel management...hopeully this helps out..

0psi 2psi 4psi 6psi 8psi 10psi 12psi 14psi 16psi

8.0:1 9.1 10.2 11.3 12.4 13.4 14.5 15.6 16.7
8.5:1 9.7 10.8 12.0 13.1 14.3 15.4 16.6 17.8
9.0:1 10.2 11.4 12.7 13.9 15.1 16.3 17.6 18.8
9.5:1 10.8 12.1 13.4 14.7 16.0 17.3 18.5 19.8
