Competition clutch stage 4, the four puck. Same quality as clutch masters, made by the same people. The guy who owns comp. clutch used to own clutchmasters, he left cuz he didn't like the way the business was run.(this is what I hear not personal information, but either way the clutches rock)

LOL, Don't make me laugh! It's funning how rumors won't die. Ok, the facts are that the guy who started up Competition Clutch used to work for Clutch Masters, he never owned it. I know this for a fact because it was my father, Greg Booher, who started Clutch Masters 30 years ago and still owns the company today.
Just thought I would clear that one up.
Let me know if anyone has any questions..
Oh, and as far as the clutch for the h22, I would not suggest a stage 3 for that much power. Our stage 4 will handle up to 500hp at the crank, but if your making that mutch at the wheels you should go with either the stage 5 or a street twin disc set-up.

I would just go ahead and put a twin disk in it. One it will handle all the power you ever plan to throw at it. Second you wont have to pull out a heavy *** tranny to put a clutch in. So just spend the extra money and DO IT ONCE AND GET IT OVER WITH. My .02

Re: (D-tuned)
Tilton or cusco twin disc will handle the power. Tilton twin (not the expensive carbon) used on 600 whp drag and daily driver, held up extremely well.

This is to funny cause I was also told that the guy who owned Competition Clutch once owned Clutch master but it was kinda hard to belive. Any how we went with the FX700 for our setup but we have not ran with it yet.

rather than start a new thread...
is a twin disk clutch NEEDED for 500+whp(b series)? I really dont want to spend 1000+ on a clutch if I dont have to. Ive been searching and the CHEAPEST Ive seen is about 1150. I consider a clutch a wear item(maybe I shouldnt at this point) and would have a hard time spending that much on one. Ill do it if I have to, but damn...

Re: (RTW DC2R)
Bump for the same question plus some
Is it a must for the twin disc I we be setting closer to 700whp.
Clutch master offers two twin disc clutches I believe fx6 and fx7
What is the difference other then one is strip and one is street
Does one last longer then the other?
Dose one grab better then the other.
What is the best twin disc clutch for a 700 Whp car at the track and 400-500 on the street I still want it some what driveable
And a few web sites with competitive pricing would help a lot

Re: (b16hybridsol)
Sorry for the delay guys, our moderator "Travis" is on vacation until the 30th.
For a 700 whp race car I would suggest the FX700 setup. It will hold the power
at the track and still be street worthy. For more information contact Luis at
the plant 909-877-6800 for personal assitance. -Mike
