trying to avoid using a twin disc on my gsr. i drove a friend of mines car that had a tilton twin disc and i could not drive it. engagement was harsh! is there a twin disc thats not going to have an engagement like the tilton? looking to stay with a single disc if possible...what do you guys recommend? this car will be street driven not daily but weekend warrior. any help will be appreciated. thanks.
twin discs arent sprung. thats why.
whp isnt the issue. wtq is.
ask yourself these questions:
budget, use, dd?
remember, if you are going to race the car, staging and preloading wreaks havoc on a clutch. and the only to handle the heat,, is with 2 discs. just think about that.
personally i dont think my exedy is that bad.

Normally the torque that follows 600hp is kind of on the edge of needing a twin disc. I don't think they're that terrible, just need to get used to it.
Like above, single's are gonna get their asses kicked at the track with that power.

I understand whp isn't the issue. I was just throwing that number out there figured you guys would have a better idea of a tq number. Car will not be a dd. Anyone ever have a tilton twin and try a different twin? If so any better?
my CC stage 5 sprung held 420 ftlbs without the upgraded pp is its worth anything. thats more torque than i made at 613whp on another setup, and more torque than some people are using to make 700+whp. so it all depends.
