What causes the end of a rotor to melt?
I have been trying to troubleshoot problems with the ignition system (i believe) on my vehicle.
I was using a MSD digital 6plus, HVC coil, MSD wires and NGK v-power 8s, but have since removed the msd box and coil and put a stock internal coil distributer in. The car is sputtering very bad once i hit 5k-6k rpm (and was with the msd also).
In addition I noticed that the rotors were always getting burned bad on the left edge even to the point where plastic was melting around them (i will upload pics later). This was happening within the first 50-100kms. What would cause this? Should it only happen when i had the msd coil and box in?

Mine was doing that too a while ago... once I swapped dizzy's the problem went away. I had really bad break-up under high load and around 4k rpms. I'm guessing the ignitor was the guilty party.
