Default Went Turbo and now getting a CEL, I have the answer to, but will this work?

CEL code 67: Cat deterioration or premature failure reporting from the rear O2 sensor on my 98 dx hatch.

Turns out the guys that were working on my car removed the stock cat when they removed the stock exhaust manifold. I'm now catless and running super rich with the stock GReddy Emanage box(untuned). I'm going to replace my rice dtm muffler with a stock-looking Magnaflow one soon, and I was going to purchase a 2.5" hi-flow Carsound cat to go with it. Here's the problem!

Currently using a straight pipe with the O2 sensor lodged in it or so I'm told/suspect. Could I just weld the Carsound cat on there and leave the O2 sensor as it is? Or would I need to place the O2 sensor in the cat? Reason I ask is that I cannot find an OBD2 cat anywhere online, just finding ones w/o the O2 bungs. So could I do that? That would get rid of my CEL right? Cuz my ECU will continue to retard timing if I dont reset it due to that the O2 sensor keeps throwing it off.

Hlpe me out pls. Thanks guys.
