Default Went to e-town again today :D VERY pleased with my auto's results.

For any of you that go on a test and tune day you should go on a saturday for time trials, I got 5 runs!!!!!!! Best I ever get on a wednsday is 2 runs in a 6 hour period, blows... anyway.

I did VERY well at the track and am VERY pleased with my cars new times, I took out everything in back of front seats but only shaved 40 lbs or so, I weighed in at 2740 with me in it (my car is too fat).

Timing was at about 13-14degrees, running 94 octane little more then a half tank
Boost started at .53 bar and I upped it to .56 in the end, which is a tad more then 8psi I guess.

I'll simply post my 2 best slips since I don't feel like typing 5 slips on here, 1 has a higher mph and the other a higher 1/4 time.

RT: 1.186 (wasn't there for RT so who gives a F)
60': 2.524
330: 6.521
1/8: 9.726
MPH: 76.10
1000: 12.508
1/4: 14.846
MPH: 95.73

and

RT: 0.591
60': 2.519
330: 6.536
1/8: 9.750
MPH: 75.94
1000: 12.540
1/4: 14.883
MPH: 96.05

Not bad at all for a completely stock engine and stock auto tranny, I was sooo happy I broke into the 14's all I changed from may last 15.1 was the full 3" exhaust timing a bit and boost up a tiny notch.

Well getting the 60's down is impossible on an auto w/o nuetral dropping (not gonna happend).

But I went from about .52 bar to .56 bar..... you do the math its not much but still something.

brake launch.. or get a 30 or 50 shot to get you out of the hole. My firend pulls 2.1 in his ALTIMA on street tires in his automatic, nitrous really helped him.

hey did you build it to look pretty? or did you build it to race it? you have to realize its gunna break. try break boosting and running some sticky tires. i know that car can do better than a 2.5

I built it for both, and thats that. Although now all my money is going into performance etc, I can accept the fact that my 60's may not be lower for a while until I get the swap.

So there is no need to blow up my tranny shooting nitrous while boosting before I can afford the swap. Some of us aren't rich and can afford having their car blown up because they would have no way to get to school work. Just a thought, I'm taking things 1 step at a time, in no rush.

jsut press your brakes and the gas at the same time when you launch. You should have damn good 60' times. Watch for some dodge 2.2 and 2.5 turbo cars like the shadows, shelby, omni's and such. Most of them are auto and they take off fairly well. Its not the best for the trans but who cares your at the track to race.

Oh trust me I'm well aware of powerbraking and thats what I've been doing, I just can't brake/throttle more then 2000rpms because the brakes won't hold, and besides I have a stock torque converter which's stall speed is 1800rpms anyway..

yeah but even if its a 1800 stall speed with the addittion of the turbo im sure its way lower than that.

No matter I have a huge turbo which doesn't hit full boost till a little after 4000rpms.... so the lag doesn't give me any launching power whatsoever..

I did cut my 60's from the first time I went from a 2.734 to a 2.516 I'd have to say thats damn good, but theres really nothing left to do for launches now, and besides my next mission is manual swap anyway

in general im sure people have told u this MANY times..did u run on your 17's? even if u put your stock black steelies on all 4, u will get a LOT better times..but if u were on your stocks to begin with, then ignore this message..

just a thought..its not that much work..night before the tracks, put all stock tires on..those 17s will KILL you

BTW: on my last SHOW CAR (my 98 TRD supercharged V6 AUTO CAMRY, a 3000lbs plus car), i hit a 15.126 @93.4mph with a 60 of 2.408..if my auto camry can hit that, theres gotta be a way your integ can do it..

Your right thats something I didn't do

Its hard to justify adding almost 100lbs on the car by putting the stocks back on being 2" smaller then saving the 100lbs and leaving these lightweights on, but who am I to question the car gods who say smaller rim is always better Next time I will try that

_______

Theres no way your stock rims way more then 100 pound more then 17s dude Just leave the 17s on the rear, stocks on the front and drop the pressure out of the front tyres, this will make a big difference

I know I am exaggerating, I wasn't trying to get smart. Just stating the fact the stock tires compared to the 17's are considerably heavier, in all reality mabye 10lbs heaver tire for tire thats all.... next time I will be sure to have a pair of stock with me
