Default went back to the dyno today

went to the dyno today and expected over 500whp.made 449whp@24psi.i was having problems witht the boost controller.i made 350@15psi,430@20psi,and 449@24psi.i had a few pulls at 25psi but it made less power.i tried turning it up past 25 psi and it dropped back to 24psi.i am using a turboxs hpdbc boost controller with a .9 bar spring in a 40mm tial wastegate.it is almost like the controller doesn't want to make but abour 8psi more than the spring rate of the wastgate.a couple of months ago i tried using a .2 bar spring and it would not make more than 15psi.when it made 15 it was like the wastegate was fluttering really bad and had no power.i think i am running into the same problem now ,but at a higher boost level.i know i could just put in a larger spring, but i really don't want to change to a smaller one just for the street.
i was also having trouble with a stumble at high rpm.we changed the plugs to a brand new set of iridiums just because that was all i had except for an old used set of zex plugs.it still stumbled until i gapped them down to .025.just to see the difference,we put in the zex plugs and the ymade 6 more whp!i don't care what anyone says, the zex plugs are good!
a friend and i had been discussing the size of my air filter.it is kinda small and we thought i might be out flowing it.it is a iceman replacement filter.it is a 3.5 inlet that is 5.5" at the base,4" at the end,and 8" long.i decided to make a pull with no filter and it only made 3whp! the power fluctuates enough from run to run that the 3 hp could have had nothing to do with it.
overall,i am pretty happy.it was much hotter and more humid than last time(september).the boost was at about the same level and i think if i were toget my boost controller problem fixed,i could get 500.

my wastegate was doing the same thing with my turboxs MBC. i got a 7psi spring and could not boost over 16-17psi on the dyno so am just getting a new wastegate with maybe a 12psi spring

What gas were you using? Your sure you weren't detonating? As you made bugger all more power from 20psi -24psi.?

Still very impressive

those numbers arent bad, sort of close to my present setup. I have a few bag of tricks I plan, freeing up the exhaust really helped the power.
