Its really nt a big deal, have that manifold repaired and checked over for any other problems. The turbine blade being a little dinged wont effect anyting. I was running my t04e with the wheel chewed up and there are MANY turbos out there chewed up and it doesnt do anything. i mean if it was severely damaged then i would say replace the turbine wheel but that little bit, send it

Actually it is a big deal. Balance and the efficiency of the turbine wheel is now shot. You will see a decrease in power and spool.

MANY turbos chewed up? Stop smoking crack. You simply don't want to sound stupid for running a jacked wheel by saying "MANY OTHERS blah blah blah." Stop giving bad advice.

Also, QUIT F*CKING UP THE WHEEL MORE BY RESTING IT ON THE TABLE.

first the wheel isnt getting fucked up by resting it on the table and it didnt loose material so its still out of balance? cant i just have the wheel replaced? what would you do in this situion and dont give me by a new turbo cuz its a 1200 dollar turbo

YEs it will be out of balance but it doesnt mean the turbo is shot, you can run that turbine wheel if you want to, you can have it rebalanced but not nessesary. or you can replace it.

you can use the turbo the way it is with out any immediate issues, over time with the balance not being perfect it will wear the bearings more so then if was balanced. my turbo from last year is still running samooth on my buddies car, spools just fine, power output is the same as before the blades were chipped, and ive alread had the turbo apart to replace the oil seal because of to much oil pressure and the bearings show NO sign of abnormal wear.

it reaches 30psi on highboost i dont want it to tear itself apart. i hear the rebuilt kits on ball bearing turbos are like 900. can i just get a new wheel and balance? if so where ? this is getting to be a dam headache

manifold isnt my problem its been taking care of and replaced right now my turbo is the issue

- does it need a rebuild?
- can the wheel just be replaced?
- how much will it run about and where to get it if it need a rebuild?

A: Not necessarily, you can keep running it like that and it wont harm anything, it may just take longer to spool [barely] or make a diff noise when spoolin cause of the fin bends

A: I think you can just replace the exhaust wheel but it may need to be rebalanced...

A: Rebuilds on BB turbos are kinda expensive, sorry im not sure the answer to this one.

I think your fine. I would run the turbo, doesnt look like there is enough damage to throw the balance off to the degree where it would explode at high boost. That lil piece missing from your manifold is definitely what did it. As long as the exhuast housing isnt getting scarred by the wheel and there isnt excessive play i would say your golden.

its just at the very tip top of the fins, i couldnt tell tho if it was spooling late cuz of the turbo or the manifold being so cracked. if i were to replace the wheel and get it balanced that isnt a full rebuilt right? so it shouldnt be super expensive? if it isnt that much id just get a new wheel and balance. it def doesnt scrap the houseing cuz i was spinning it before hand and it spun freely with no noise
