WBO2 for cheap
I'm not advertising anything for profit, but I have been searching for an inexpensive wideband sensor and controller for a while.
On Ebay the things seem to sell for $200 used. Even the DIY kits can be expensive, and are generally huge. I have seen another one offered on this site for $320.
But after browsing many sites, I found this one that sells a very small, compact controller for a steal: $105. With sensor is $275.
TwinTec.com
The controller is the smallest I have seen, and I like that it has a calibration potentiometer. This display is going to replace the stupid LCD clock in my Rio.
Now I just need to find a cheap L1H1 or L2H2 sensor. I think I can get a used one since the controller is adjustable! (Free air calibration)

CX? I don't know. I know the L1H1 was used on the '93-'95 VX, or 1.5 VTEC. I also read on the website that the L2H2 (same sensor, different harness) is used on the Insight, and I want to confirm this because I may be able to get a brand new one for a song if it is true.
I just couldn't pass up a $105 wideband controller. **** DIY.

interesting. I have an L1H1 right here along with a displayless diywb controller i built. Maybe this would be a better solution than trying to figure out the diywb display. it looks like a nightmare to me...
make sure you post up your impressions once you try it out. comes with 3day shipping too I have been using a PLX m300 lately and it's exactly what I would want for datalogging other cars but this one looks like it would be good to keep permanatly installed.

Re: (Prelude91siT)
can't you wire it to a bosch wide band sensor. I mean a wide band sensor is a wide band sensor. so it shouldn't give off bad reading.

I have asked that question before and have never gotten a good answer. Honestly I don't know if an L1H1 and a cheap Bosch have the same "lambda graph".
If they did, I would figure there would be adapters on the market, but I have never seen one.

Re: WBO2 for cheap (Split Image Prez)
The stock O2 sensor is like a light switch that has a trip point of 14.7:1 a/f ratio - below this value it puts out ~.1v and above this value it puts out ~.9v. Completey useless other than to let you know when you're below 14.7:1 and thats not exactly a ratio you wanna be at when your boosting.
A wideband produces a discrete voltage value depending on the a/f ratio.

ya it supports the bosch and its $425. definitely not worth that. the plx m500 for $490 is wayyy better.

Re: WBO2 for cheap (XDEep)
I get the feeling the L1H1 sensor unit is being discontinued... that's why the LSU4-based unit, with the sensor that costs $125 less, is still commanding a premium.
Might be a good buy for someone wanting a display, or who has a method of taking WB controller output and datalogging it seperately as needed.

Re: WBO2 for cheap (mekkis)
The L1H1 is actually sold as a Bosch branded part now. I doubt it will be discontinued because honda still uses it (the L2H2) in the Insight. (I confirmed this)
I still think it is a great deal. If I look hard enough I am sure I can get a sensor for cheap.

Re: WBO2 for cheap (civictypenos)
i checked with autozone and they sell the compatible bosch unit for $150 but im sure i can still find a used one for a better deal from a junkyard.are there any other vehicles besides the 93-95 vx and the insight that uses the l1h1 or l2h2 sensor? i heard the civic hx uses the sensor also but i could be wrong, can anyone clear this up?
