Watercooled 6262
Hi
i have a water cooled Precision 6262 i'm wondering if i could tap into the ivac in for the turbo feed and the out for the turbo return water
i didn't find a big enough fittings for it here in Iceland so i was wondering if this would be enough for a tune and one race while i order fittings from the US,
or even do i have to water cool it i get mixed answers after a google search
with best regards
Arni

Re: Watercooled 6262
This has been covered many times, just search next time. But I'll help ya out this time:
To my knowledge precision doesn't make OE style water cooled journal bearing turbos. That means that is a ball bearing turbo which means that you must run the water lines. Otherwise you will burn up the bearings. In what amount of time? I can't tell you however I would not risk it with a ~$1600 USD turbo.
The most popular was is to get the adapter fitting that goes into the block heater plug on the front of the block. However, you can tap into your IACV line and use barbed fittings, rubber hose, and hose clamps.

Re: Watercooled 6262
Br fittings sells the adapter for the block plug.
Personally in running it from the front block port and the radiator drain plug adapter.
But because of your location you may be better off taping into existing lines this can be done many ways with brass adapters.
