Default water temp sensor placement

Trying to hook up my greddy water temp sensor and wondering of there are any spots i can screw it right into without getting an adaptor for the radiator hose. Two places i was looking at was the drain plug on full race radiator? or maybe the bleeder on thermostat housing? Would these be accurate readings of temp if they work?

People have used the big drain plug on the block itself for temp sensors or another coolant line. I know it's big enough for 1/8" taps, not sure about 1/4". The B18A blocks also have a sensor or thermo switch on the back of the block. Try to keep in somewhere before the radiator, as close to the engine as possible. You won't need a perfect reading, just a spot that gives consistant readings.

Bleeder screw works well on the upper neck off the head. It will give you the most accurate highest temp reading.

Is this the one on the thermostat housing or is there a second bleeder?

The thermo switch on the back the block, is that what runs the oem temp guage? IF so i'd like to keep that working

will not fit in the thermostat housing bleeder location i just tried that, way too long. I dont really want to pull the block drain plug and tap it and have the car down that long

No...put it where the top radiator hose connects to the head. Either replace the bleeder that is in that spot, or drill and tap that spot.
