Default water to air in steet driven car

i want to use a water to air intercooler cause i dont really have room in my bumper for the air to air intercooler.... will it still cool down enough cause ill be running 8 to 9 psi on my H22

yep, another heat exchanger will help, but it will still eventually level off at a not too terribly cold temp
Hmm, who has a DD w/ liquid/air.................? SiRKid........maybe. maybe not

Yea you are going to need another heat exchanger, ie a small radiator in the front, so you can cool the water if you wanna drive it on the street. For race time though you can pour ice water in there and cool the air below the outside temp..which is pretty cool.

Although it sounds like more things to break..and leak..to me.

try using a smaller air to air core and mounting somewhere else besides the bumper. you may have to get a little creative with the piping and duct work though. it would still be cheaper than a air to water unit for that youll need:


air to water core
entanks
reservoir
heat exhchanger
pump
lines
fittings
and custom fab work


also, a well designed air to air IC can cool the charge temp to ambient temperartures depending on were u live. it just cant do it when ur not moving

or just get a intercooler and weld a box aroudn it and dump ice in it.
