water to air intercoler
i did some search and came up with nothing. my question is what do you guys think about the water to air intercooler for daily driving for a turboed d16y8 that will hopefully be pushing close to 300whp on pump gas. is there any diff on the regular intercooler to the water to aire intercooler ( for performance and longevity)
from what I have heard, water to air intercoolers are not that good for daily driving. The water can heat up very quickly with long periods of boost and then cause cooling of the charged air to be less than optimal.

Not an issue with a properly sized heat exchanger. Properly sized means as big as you can run without blocking flow to the radiator
It works good, but it is a lot more expensive and complicated than an air/air setup. KISS, just run the air-to-air, if you want stealth paint or anodize it black.
