wastgegate needs to go???
okay....when i turn my car on it seems to be okay but when i let the car warm up it will bog on me and it sounds like the engine is gonna die. took the wastegate hose off and the engine will sound smooth and will idle like a brand new car. once i but the hose back onto the wastegate it will bog on me and the engine will sound like it's gonna die again. this all happens while the engine is still on. anyone know what could be wrong? can it be the wastegate itself??
It could be something along the lines of a tune issue. When you pull the line off the gate you are allowing more air into the engine as you are causing a vacuum leak.
no miller is asking if it is running rich and maybe you have your boost reference coming from the manifold. and when you disconnect it, making a small vacuum leak, allows enough air in to overcome the running rich condition.
not saying go get it retuned. just trying to deduce whats wrong with the car.

i think i have a boost leak which is making my car run super rich but don't really know why my wastegate would rattle when coming to a stop or idling down.

that most likely wont fix it. your car has this issue for a reason. what the reason is, is a mystery without seeing the car 1st hand. we can only shoot in the dark with the posssibilities.
- map sensor not connected
- map sensor reading wrong
- fuel pressure way too high
- a comp table needs touching up.
and the list goes on....
