i just finish installing everything on my car (turbo, dp, exhaust, ic piping, ic, manifold, wastegate, and a vacuum manifold and some hose) and my wastegate is making some nasty sound when i hook up the vacuum hose to the wastegate, if i pull out the vacuum hose it doesnt make that sound anymore. so i was wondering does anybody knows why?

 

r u sure u hooked the vacuum hose to the correct port on the wastegate? if u hooked it up on the top then its going to keep the wastegate open

 

what does it sound like? does it do the sound at idle, or while driving, or at WOT?

 

yea thats where i hooked it up at. is that the wrong place to hook it up?

 

yea.. switch ports... on top is made for a boost controller...

 

is there another spot that i can hook up the vacuum on the wastegate (tial 38mm).

 

yes on the side of the head of the gate... just underneath where the bolts are to bolt the 2 peices of the head of the gate are...it should be kinda down on an angle
