Default Wastegate touching A/C Lines? Why?

I have a turbo'd EM1 and right now my wastegate is sitting against my A/C Lines. I have a Blox manifold and some kind of Wastegate I was never sure what it was. Why do you guys think they are touching?

Here's pics

looks like a cheap-o wastegate. just wrap that one line, you'll be fine.

They touch because of the low budget parts used. Drag manifolds are horrible, and no matter what WG is on there, it will hit the line. Like stated above, just get a heat wrap for the AC line.

It's touching because you haven't pulled the lines back or re-routed them lol. Just get thermal heat wrap from JEGs, it'll be fine.

We have heat wrapped it and pulled the A/C lines back but I'd rather not have to do that. If I replaced the Drag manifold with a Inlinepro T3 would that fix that problem so that I wouldn't have to keep my A/C pulled back?

I'm assuming it wouldn't help. Your wastegate placement on that drag manifold is pretty close to the head. All other cast units are going to mount the wastegate more toward the center and closer to the core support.

I would just use high temp heat wrap tape and then some exhaust wrap over that. And then try slightly bending the ac line a tad...

Would an InlinePro T3 turbo manifold be any better positioning for the wastegate? I'm just not seeing how my setup is touching lines while others don't?

Hm guess I don't notice until I actually look for it.

Thanks all, guess I'll just keep it wrapped and pulled back a tad.
