SS Wastegate Line Install Questions
I just picked up the Muckman/Flamenco-T wastegate line kit and after I installed it, the car won't boost and it sounds like it's open downpipe.
I put a washer inbetween the fitting for the wastegate and the wastegate... that's the only washer I used. Is there anything else that I'm supposed to do? I teflon'd the fitting that goes into the compressor housing... am I supposed to teflon any other parts of the line?
Thanks,
Ed

Most likley, the fitting going into the wastgate is preventing the wastegate from closing because (since there is no boost and it sounds loud) it is in too far, I had the same problem, and I just used some loc-tite and threaded it about 3 turns and everything is peachy.
Yeah I know which way they're supposed to be setup, top is for MBC/EBC, side is for wastegate. I just put a bunch of washers inbetween the fitting and the wastegate thread so that it threads in about as much as the stock Tial screw goes in with its fitting.
It seems to be holding boost now, but now I think it's going a little higher.. maybe my mind is playing tricks on me. No more open downpipe sound either.
It did however go up to close to a bar when I was testing how far to thread the fitting in... boy that was fun.

If the threaded part on the fitting is too long it can hit the diaphragm and bad things will happen. This is why I cut the fittings down on a lathe in my original kit. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=810781
Thanks Muck for the info. I think the spacers did the trick, it holds boost constant now.
Do you know how to tell if the wastegate has been damaged by threading the fitting too far in? Are there weird sounds or anything like that? I only drove around the block once when the fitting was completely threaded in and I wasn't hitting boost. The 2nd time I tried, I think it was still too far in and I was able to hit close to 1 bar of boost when my spring inside the tial is set at .7. Now that the washers are in, it stays constant around .5-.7. I think everything is ok?

I honestly dont know. I would think if its working now then its not damaged. Id assume it has to be pretty damn tough considering the high heat, high pressure situations it has to deal with on a regular basis. Shine a flashlight in the hole, check for any visual damage.
