Default Wastegate size ?

Currently i have a 35mm tial wg, and next season i want to make anywhere from 4-500 whp (now i make 300)

i was looking into the 4x mm tial wastegates when i went to tial's site and read the following

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Flow capacity. Contrary to popular belief, larger higher HP applications do not necessarily require the largest wastegate available. The lower the boost pressure you are gunning for the larger your wastegate needs to be. An engine/turbo combination that is set to 25+psi has a smaller wastegate flow requirement than the same application set to 7 psi. This is because the wastegate is used to lower the boost not raise it, the lower the boost pressure is set the more flow the wastegate must allow.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

sooooo should i just keep my 35mm wg? why do almost everyone i see running quick times have the 40 or 44 mm wastegates?

The flow capacity needs to be less at higher boost levels since you are not bleeding off as much exhaust gas energy as with the a lower psi level. The reason that you see guys running the larger wastegate sizes is that the exhaust flow regulation through the gate is much more stable due to the larger valve/diaphram system. If you want to upgrade to another wastegate, the 38mm hp should do the trick.
