Default Wastegate problem!!! Need help ASAP!

I got a tial 38mm wastegate and have a 10.2 lb spring. It was working fine, but now im boosting to like 17lbs. So i thought it was the wastegate and i have a deltagate by turbonetics thats also has a 10 lb spring. So i slapped that on...Same problem. What the hell is going on? Let me know thanx.

Did you check the vacuum line and source??

It's possible if you get a small rip, or hole in the line, then some of the boost pressure is leaking out before the wastegate opens. I've heard of people making holes in their wastegate line intentionally to increase the boost.

That's the first thing I would check.

Is it spiking to 17 and coming back down? Creeping up to 17? Or just opening at 17 and holding steady?

no ram horn style...shitty drag manifold... t3t04e turbonetics...the one that comes with the kit.

find a vacunm leak near the wategate, does the car idle high?
