Wastegate problem!
I have a 92 turbo civic DX hatch. its a t3 turbo obx-r ram manifold. no name wg. when i bought the car the kid had a 7lb spring inside. but the car just kept spooling to the point where it started to cut out.. like 12-14 lbs. so i thought it was a junk no name spring so i bought a Tial 8.7 lb spring....just installed it and still the same. vacuum line from turbo to wastegate is good. so what could it be causing wg to not dump?

fire ring is installed..so my buddy told me my vac line is good...but i really think thats the prob. he had 2 pieces of line running from turbo to wg. connected with a really tiny connector and then no fitting on the wg ...he was using a banjo bolt...im guessing this is restricting the air causing the wg to only see maybe 4-5 lbs when the turbo is seeing 8-10?
Check the diaphram inside the wastegat. I have seen it a few times on ebay wastegates. the vaccuum port bolt goes in too far and puntures the diaphram. hope this helps
