Default Wastegate Diaphragm Replacement

I did some digging through the archives, and found a few decent threads on how this is done. Unfortunately, they're all old enough such that none of the pics show up. I was feeling enterprising, so I took some shots of my own.

For starters, this is the wastegate I'm messing with (38mm Tial):

To start, I removed the six allen bolts around the lip (for me they were 4mm allen bolts):

After doing that, the top metal piece just kind of fell off. My original intention in taking this thing apart was to check the condition of the diaphragm and see what spring I had (seller didn't know). The diaphragm looked pretty good (I did the "blow-through-the-vacuum-port" test to confirm this before disassembly), but boy was I surprised to find no spring at all inside!

I've contacted the seller, waiting to hear back from him on that...

Meanwhile, since I know it has happened to other turbo track cars, I wanted to figure out how to replace the diaphragm should I need to. I started with taking out the four small allen screws (not sure of the technical name for these little guys) around the "head" of the spring seat:

...And that was as far as I got. They all came out, and I could pull the spring seat attached to the diaphragm up such that the valve "fell down", but could not figure out how to actually remove the diaphragm. In older threads, I saw people tearing it in attempted removals, and not wanting to waste a perfectly good one, held off until I could learn more about it.

So on that note, anyone have any suggestions?

Does that include the bottom metal base thing?

I've taken out and replaced the diaphram before but for some reason instead of boosting 7 psi with a 7psi spring it will boost 11psi. I've tried a few diaphragms and the same result. I think it has to do something with the orange rubber piece. Do you need to put any type of adhesive from the orange rubber to the base?

The orange rubber IS the diaphragm, no?

If it's not broke don't fix it! and yes the orange silicone rubber is the diaphram.

THE RUBBER SILICONE IS PART OF THE ALUMINUM PIECE WITH THE 3 ALLEN BOLTS.

Are we looking at the same thing? There are two parts with allen bolts, one has 6 bolts and one has 4. If you're talking about the part with 4 bolts (the spring cup), yes, I understand the diaphragm is incorporated into that. I'm wondering about the metal base where the valve sits. The thing that says "TiAL" on it here (one on the left):

YES THE SPRING CUP WITH 4 BOLTS IS THE ONE I WAS TALKING ABOUT. NOW IS THERE AN ADHESIVE THAT NEEDS TO BE APPLIED TO THE ORANGE SILICONE TO STICK TO THE BASE (THE PART THAT SAYS TIAL)?
