helllo everyone.

i currantly have a 35mm?? deltagate wastegate on a log manifold.

i'm looking to buy a new wastegate to replace the deltagate for a while and in the future on a 300-400 hp project.

which size should i get for that hp range?

tial?
turbonetics evolution?
what other options do i have?

do you guys use a gasket besides the fire ring?

what turbo and how much boost will you run?


i think if i hear someone try to reference hp to wastegate size again i will have a seizure LOL

as for the gaskets, you do not need to run them, the valve seat does the job just fine, i would run a gasket between the outlet and dump tube though

depending on what the manifold is flanged for, depicts what size gate to run.
big turbo low boost needs a larger gate. technically a large turbo, lotsa boost, a smaller gate will work, but once again nasteboyii has proved that theory wrong, taming my t3t67ho at like 9 psi with a 38mm gate,
the 38mm tial should be ok.

 

cant go wrong with tial products.

 

Im running a synapse wastegate (50mm)and love it, with a sc61 it will control boost down to 5psi.
