waste gate not opening?
so again.. i have a tial 38 mill wastegate with a .4 bar spring
and i just connected a vaccum hose from the side port to a T in my brake booster vaccum line. I will be connecting it to my charge pipe at some point but i cant do ti now im on a very strict time constraint =[.. but in anycase i also don thave a boostgauge yet and from what i can tell the wastegate isnt opening.. could it just be stuck? or um... stuck?
any help would be nice thanks

well of course i dont do full rpm pulls.. without boostgauge thats just retarded.. but i figure i would hear the wastegate open if it was opening.. its only a .4bar spring.. should open rather quickly.. also i took the dumptube off and it still looks pretty clean in the wastegate flange.. if it were opening it would be covered in **** no?
You didnt tee after the check valve in the brake booster line correct. That could be your problem right there. Wastegates generally dont get stuck, they are so simple it would take a lot for it to mess up. Get a boost gauge and see whats really going on.

i dont thinku have ur wastegate connected correctly, the vaccum hose should run from the turbo to the bottom port of the wastegate and the top port on the wastegate should be left open unless u are running a boost controller

well really the side port can get any pressure source. and the top port is only used on electronic boost controllers.
this guy needs to grab a boost gauge before anything else. you pretty much have to go WOT to build boost. are you hearing the turbo spool up? are you sure you are even getting into boost? a boost gauge can tell you whats going on and then you can go from there.
