Default WASHINGTON -> Motor Assembly

Hey, I am looking for anyone in the Washington area.

Tacoma/Seattle/Puyallup (In that general area)

I need to have a block assembled w/
-Arias 9:1 Pistons
-Eagle Rods/Headstuds
-Stock HG
-ACL Barings

It also needs to be honed and hot tanked. I don't have much money so... eeek I need a good price. I was going to goto Buds because I was told it was about $350-400 to do it, but when I called them they said like $700-800. Why is this so costy? Any help is appreciated!

$350-400 was probably the quote for assembly. That's about right. But then you have to factor in the costs of the bearings, new seals and gaskets, and a new oil pump. Plus there is a certain fee per cylinder for honing.

You can do it yourself if you have the cajones: http://www.evans-tuning.com/fo...build

All it takes is patience and about $350 for tools. But you can do what I'm doing. I bought the tools on ebay for that price and can easily sell them back on ebay for the same price when I'm done.
