Uh, why didn't you just disconnect the wastegate entirely? Makes about as much sense

Tell me more about your turbo. I see the Holset tag on your actuator diaphragm... uh, HX25W/HX30W? Comp doesn't look big enough for HY35W

Wow thats actually a pretty good idea. A friend of mine is looking to hit 11's in his talon on the 16G turbo. He doesn't want to go with an external wastegate, and doesn't want to spend more money. It has full interrior, and has gone 12.1 and 12.010 many times. We tried welding his wastegate shut to see how much, and it pegged the gauge @ 30psi but was insanly quick, yet very dangerious so we were looking for another solution. That might work! Thanks for the tip

Then I'm a dumbass and it is HY35W. Your loss for not owning a Holset.

FYI, be careful taking tips from the diesel kids. Too much boost doesn't hurt a diesel - it is too much fuel that slags them.
