Default Walbro 255lph fuel pump installation kit

hey guys,

i just got a walbro 255 for my boosted hatch. But, i was wondering whether it's necessary to get the installation kit or if i could just use all of the stock 'stuff' to install the damn thing.

thanx!

Stephanie

for my EF u needed the kit because the actual pump body was smaller than stock so bushings needed to be thicker, and it has a new pick-up filter

The 'kit' was not necessary for my EH2...I reused all the stock pieces...only spent $80 on my Walbro 255 HP.

His sig says turbo b18, so yes I would imagine that he needs it. I wouldn't trust the stock one over 5psi...

sohc_mshue a.k.a. "the turbo guru" told me the stock fuel pump would work with my setup, but it would be better to get a walbro 255. I asked him if it would make me run lean on 10 p.s.i, with hondata and dsm 450's, but he hasn't answered me back yet . Anyone have any info on this?

the guy i'm having tune my turbo setup said with dsm 450s on around 10 psi or more it wouldn't hurt to upgrade to the walbro 255. considering they're not too pricey anyways.
