Stock fuel pump - what hp can it handle?
Ive got a 88' Si doch crx, I am currently running a low 4.7psi with 390cc injectors on a IHI vf10 turbo, I have a walbro 255 fuel pump but havent installed it yet, and am obviously running the stock fuel pump,
So my question is - how much hp/psi can a stock fuel pump handle?
thanks in advance.

I think if its like a DA, you have to drop the gas tank

i dont trust dx pumps on na setups, and unfotrunately being an ef the tank needs to come out. yuck it up and put in the walbro. it isnt worth the headaches associated with a lean condition.

Yeah I do, I will install the walbro fuel pump, I did a read up on how to install one but at the moment I dont have the time as I am busy with other things like getting certification for the turbo set up etc,
I havent had time to put a air/fuel ratio gauge in yet and I was just worried that with the stock fuel pump it may be leaning out etc, I dont think so as its not a very big turbo ''a little smaller then a t25'' and I am only running 4.7psi ''at the moment'', currently it is chip tuned and seems to be quite good, but I also have an apexi s-afc ready to go in,
I just wanted to know what a stock pump can handle in hp? just for peace of mind that it isnt leaning out while I am driving ''not thrashing it'' to and from a few places before the walbro goes in
thanks.

i wouldnt risk it with a stock pump.
if you get an a/f gauge make sure its a wideband, those autometers are just a gay light show
you have a chipped ecu... no need for the s-afc

which isnt really bad. higher fp = less injector duration, better fuel atomization.
id get an adjustable fpr just incase

Re: (wantboost)
im not sure about the afc, but then ude be adjusting pulse width rather then pressure. i don tknow man, but for me, i personally would rather mess with something mechanical rather then electronic

Yeah you got a point
Anyway until I put the walbro in I assume it would be ok to drive my crx gently eg changing gear before boost comes in and accelerating very gently?

my best friend has made over 300whp on a stock 92-95 DX fuel pump. on 2 different setups with no problems
so if anything you could always just get a gsr/si/itr fuel pump.
