So the past few days I would hear this loud whine every once in a while. But my dam car is so loud I could not really tell where it was coming from. So today this whine decides to go the entire ride into work about an hour. It is coming from the fuel tank and sounds like my weldon pump it is so loud. I have a walbro 255 pump. I am assuming the pump is on its last leg is that correct? Also how long do these pumps usually last? I had one in my other daily driver for over 3 years with no issues this one is not even a year and a half old.

 

mine is brand new and you can hear it whine and it changes with more or less fuel in the tank. But from what i have read its normal but i have no rear seats in the car either.

 

had mine 6 years chad, but if it is cavatating like that, replace it.

How much longer you think I can push it before it craps out on me? I really need to get the race car done.

 

dude if it is really audible now, its coming apart. handle it.
