Default Vtec with Forced induction

Alright I'm not gonna lie I'm new Honda! I had a miata till I totaled it about a month ago (long story)! So I am lookin into getting a gsr, and I have heard that VTEC and a TURBO don't really work that well together! So I am wondering if that is true?

Amen!!

Nothing like screaming at 9000+ rpm's with VTEC screaming along side of 20+ psi

The days of high revving NA motors are the past, It's high reving FI now

i really dont know who spreads these kind of rumors, but i cringe when i see them

vtec +turbo is a godsend. how else can people get 1.8-2.0 liter motors to make the power they do on the boost levels they use.

the only downfall i can see is that vtec motors use higher compression, but that can be quickly solved with a thicker headgasket and aftermarket headstuds which are recommended anyway. i am very happy wiht my vtec turbo motor, it pulls like an animal from 5000 to 8000+ rpms, and with the closer honda transmissions you really never fall out of vtec when racing

that is a stupid rumor from people who know a cousins friends sisters brother that had a turbo vtec motor and it blew cuz he put a turbo on it. when they were tuning they for got that there are two seperate maps non-vtec and vtec and tuning the crossover point is when they said expletive it lets just go out and play.keep doing research and you will see vtec and boost is like 2 girls at once
