Default vortec BOV?

What do you guys think of the vortec BOV that comes with the Rev Hard Civic Si turbo kits.

sounds good...and works good up until the 18psi mark...then it leaks....

and they try to leak at idle a lot too

my friend had it. fluttered badly all the time. sounded like a rattlesnake. luckly a good bov like the type s bolts right in place of it.

if u can afford it ditch the vortech and get a Tial or a HKS, u wont have any problems with boost leak with these

I had it on my first revhard kit, sounds similar to type S, uses same flange, It looks alright and I didnt have any probs with it.

I have that kit and I like the vortech bov. The only thing that worries me is that it runs open at idle, but i have always thought that its normal.

If you are considering a rev-hard kit on a 99-00 si, I have the same thing and the intercooler piping fits terribly, you are gonna have to cut your bumper significantly, and the pipe to the throttle body rubs on the transmission torque mount. I think its because the kit is for any civic, 92-00 witha b-series. Just a heads up so you dont have the problems I am. Good luck
