Default VJ14/VJ11 hybrid vs. Garret, Mitsu, etc

I am building a B6T Festiva for the GRM $2008 Challenge. The car came with the stock IHI RHB5/VJ14 turbo. I've seen examples of people matching VJ14 compressors with VJ11 turbines. Since I already have half of this turbo I was wondering if it would be worth making the hybrid compared to other options. There's no way I'll have the budget to start messing with the inside of the B6T and I don't want to spend more than $150 (net, the stock turbo would be sold if not needed) on the turbo, because at that point I may as well use the the small turbo on the auto-x and then nitrous at the drag strip, the two dynamic events in the competition. Different flanges are not a big deal as I have the ability to fabricate.

Well, I am not sure of your best option, but I do have a vj11 turbo. It smoked a bit, but is still all mechanically intact. I would let it go for $40-50 + shipping if you decide you would like to go that route.
