Vibration ONLY under throttle??
After racing an rx7 from a roll, my buddies boosted si vibrates really bad under acceleration. Its hard to tell if it is coming from the passenger side or driver side, but he has changed the ball joint and axle on the passenger side. Also changed the wheel and made sure the lugs were tight so we can also rule this out.
Has anyone had any similar experiences? He is pretty frustrated with it. It only happens under 20 percent throttle or more. The rpm doesnt really matter, just as long as its under load it shakes madly. He can be at 6k rpm in neutral and no shaking, but at 3k at 100 percent throttle and its starting to really shake. Could it be the motor mounts because the tilting of the motor under load? Any help is really appreciated guys.

sounds exactly like what happens to me...been doing it for about 1 1/2 years now...i've pretty much ruled it out to be the driver's side axle, but been to lazy to do anything about it...i'll most likely be swapping it out anyway when i finish my engine build next month....but it shakes the worst at around 60mph under acceleration, but if u push in the clutch and cruise in neutral, it doesn't shake...
I had same problem awile back. It turned out to be the drivers side axle. For some reason the drivers side axle is always first to go. Get under the car and see if the axle boot is leaking grease, if it is then its you axle.
THanks guys, I'm the guy thats car is vibrating like a ****. I'll check the drivers side axle and intermediate shaft tonite. Thanks again.

pay to get both changed out.
