this is my first real turbo setup and i going to get the vafc ver. 2. i was wondering since i am running bleeder valves in the map sensor line if that would affect the readings on the vafc. any help would be awesome. thanks in advance.
oh my god, please dont use a vafc. but if you do make that mistake... you dont need the bleeder valves, the vafc will fool the map sensor up to 10psi.

ya i plan on using a chipped P28 with S300, but just curious about VAFC thought it was a good thing
ummm how so?
and would i be better off with Tech edge, a wide band O2 sencor with a contorller?

v-afc is very easy to use and very user friendly, but VERY bad on your motor. the AFC advances your timing (which is why cars with v-afcs make power) but this is exactly the opposite of what u want under boost. they work well on cars that come factory equipped with a turbo (DSM/SR20 ect) because the ecu already retards timing under boost. use Uberdata/Crome. they offer everything that hondata does at about 1/10th the cost!!! check my sig, i NEVER had one single problem with my hatch, and i drove it every single day, beating the **** off of it!!

The problem with the Honda ECu is there are no fuel/ign maps for positive manifold pressure (boost). When the stock ECU sees boost the CEL comes on and the fun is over.
The best way to fix the problem is to provide fuel/ign maps for positive manifold pressure. This is why a chipped ECU works the best.
the VAFC only manipulates the signal to the ECU. its a workaround to try and avoid a Check Engine Light. It limits the ammount of boost the ECU sees and also decreases the fuel so you need bigger injectors. There is alot to it, and if you research it a bit you'll figure it out.
