VAFC help, plzzzzzzzzz.......
I posted this in the tech forum but noone for the whole night replied? So i'm going to try this here cause it a FI car.
Just installed a drag turbo kit, vortech FMU, rc 440cc injectors, AEM FPR and RAIL, VAFC in a 95 Integra GSR. The car is really rich. Can anyone help me out with the VAFC settings??? I just installed it and am clueless looking at the instructions.
I set the sensor to 6, 6
The car is set to 4 and the diagonal up arror.
I know the car needs to be dyno tuned to have the correct settings but I have to cut out some of this fuel to get it there. The engine is throbbing back and forth like crazy, Heh. I promise I won't race it and I will keep the boost to a minimum, I just need some help with setting it so I can drive it.(haven't driven it for 3 months
Thank you

ditch the fmu, you won't be needing it with the afc hack. that's why you're running rich. you cut your fuel -40% across the board when the sensors are 06 in and 06 out. or start from 0% with the sensors at 06 in and 14 out. haven't tried the last one yet. HTH

keep the fmu if you want to make some power.it does not have an effect on your idle anyway.i had a simular setup before and idle was -35%.i made 22 psi and it went up to 0% under boost with a 60-1 turbo.

So you just used the afc for idling and non boost? Correcting it so it wont run rich.......
How about stock injectors, Bosch inlinepump, fmu and missing link on a b16a and tune it with the apexi?

pretty much.as far as stock injectors go,you can use the afc to smooth out your fuel cueve on a dyno.i built a turbo kit for a customer on a prelude and went to the dyno and made 25whp just smoothing out the fuel curve.also,we did not have to worry about blowing it up when we knew it was tuned right.

Yep, by correct tuning you will possibly gain power and it will run safe, you know its safe.........mine is running rich (egt is at wot 650 deg celcius), it will gain power if i would lean it out on a dyno i guess?
