for some reason i have a feeling that this wont work because of the sensors before and after the cat....

or am i missing something? will the vafc hack work just as well if i run open downpipe?

I just installed my drag 3 w/ open dp. I'm throwing a code 41 on my 96 gsr. Primary o2 something. I can't tell what it drives like cause the open dp shakes the car and is too loud. But my AF gauge reads rich all the time. I think i'm dumping too much fuel.

i was planning on running open wastegate / open downpipe like this guy on prelude online.... but i dont know how he did it with the vafc hack and obdii

If your running Open downpipe and the Primary O2 sensor is close to the edge of the pipe, its gonna run real shitty...

2nd O2 sensor tripping off due to OBdII will not put the ECU into limp mode but it'll just have a check engine light to tell you that 2nd o2 sensor is "bad" or "missing in action"

 

Cool thanks. I wrapped my 2nd O2 in foil and it has tripped off a CEL. Only the primary o2 is acting up, but it's close to the end of the DP. 3" exhaust coming soon.

 

Open exhaust is awesome on a turbo honda. I can done it many times on my car, although im obdI. I have a friend, drag kit on a obdII civic running the afc hack, he let another friend barrow his CAT so he could pass smog. It got a CEL because of the 2nd o2 sensor. You can get a o2 sensor simulator which should fix that problem...then things will be happy.
