Default VAFC & O2 sensor

I got a CEL and my car is running rich right now. I think it's because of a bad O2 sensor. Well, if I install the VAFC, and set it so that I run a little leaner, do I still have to get a new O2 sensor?

If the sensor is bad, it's bad, and you need to look into getting a new one. With the VAFC, you can lean it a little to compensate, but a new 02 should be on your list.

so with the VAFC, can my car run normal (not rich or lean)? Or do I need a new O2 sensor to make it do that?
